49th EUROPEAN CYSTIC FIBROSIS CONFERENCE. LISBON, PORTUGAL.

From June 3–6, the 49th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference (ECFS 2026) took place in Lisbon, Portugal. Reporting from the event is Larisa Voloshyna, President of the All-Ukrainian Association for Assistance to Patients with Cystic Fibrosis:

“This conference is not only about science, cutting-edge research, and modern treatment approaches. It is about the people who work every day to ensure that patients with cystic fibrosis live longer, healthier lives and have access to the best possible treatment opportunities, regardless of the country they live in.

It is especially meaningful to see that, even during these challenging times for Ukraine, our country remains part of the European community, actively participates in professional dialogue, and continues to advocate for the interests of Ukrainian patients. Ahead of us are several days of intensive work, new knowledge, important meetings, and valuable exchanges of experience.

I believe that the outcomes of these meetings will benefit the Ukrainian cystic fibrosis community and help us move forward. This year, Stephan Kruip received recognition from CF Europe for his productive work and dedication, and we sincerely congratulate him. He is a person who proves every day through his own example that, alongside medical treatment, sport plays a vital role and can help save lives.

Lisbon, ECFS 2026. Ukraine stands together with Europe.” πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ’™Β»
