Strong girl with cystic fibrosis – Sophie Grace Holmes

Today we want to tell about an incredibly strong girl with cystic fibrosis – Sophie Grace Holmes, who lives in England.
The other day, she was recognized as the world record holder among women with cystic fibrosis, who covered the marathon distance every day, for 36 days in a row. This event took place from April 21 to May 26, 2024.

The overall indicators are impressive:

  • The race is 1524.6 km
  • 1,836,000 steps
  • 188,321 calories
  • 180 hours

23 thousand pounds were collected for the charity fund. We congratulate Sophie on an important achievement in her life, for which there was and is a lot of training, work, willpower, and a clear regime! We hope that many people with cystic fibrosis will be inspired to follow their dreams, regardless of the disease!

This is what Sophie wrote to herself after the finish line:
«The younger me who got told she’d never make it past 16 years old, this was for you because you truly without a doubt believed absolutely anything was possible depsite all, despite hurdles, despite being told you’d never ever achieve anything in life, or be alive and despite CF testing every part of you beyond belief – thank you for never giving up so the future me could do something unforgettable that’s even show me how capable I can be and to provide hope for others.»
