European Cystic Fibrosis Congress (ECFS 2025)

Dear Society! The 48th European Cystic Fibrosis Congress (ECFS 2025) will be held in Italy from June 2 to 7.

This year, the Ukrainian delegation includes doctors and scientists from Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia and Zaporizhia.
From the patient community, the following are present:

• Larysa Voloshyna — President of the All-Ukrainian Association for the Support of Cystic Fibrosis Patients

• Lesya Moroz — Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Association, representative of the CAB (Community Advisory Board) In 2023, I was awarded the Patient Advocate of the Year 2023 award. I sincerely thank my international colleagues and partners for the high assessment of our activities in Ukraine and for patients in Ukraine during 2022 — early 2023.

This year, on the joint initiative of the leaders of the Ukrainian Twinning Project, members of the Board and Supervisory Board, the candidacy of Katarina Stepankova, President of the Slovak Association, which actively supports Ukraine and coordinates international cooperation within the Twinning Project, was submitted from Ukraine.

By decision of the CF Europe Board, her candidacy was supported, and an official award ceremony will be held during the Congress.

We currently have the following active partnerships within the Twinning Project:

• Kyiv — Israel
• Zaporizhzhia — Israel
• Lviv — Great Britain
• Vinnytsia — France
• Ivano-Frankivsk — France

The resumption of cooperation with Odessa is being discussed, as well as the involvement of other regions of Ukraine in international exchange of experience.

During the Congress, doctors participate in sessions dedicated to modern approaches to treatment, innovative therapy, transplantation, pregnancy, scientific research and other topical issues.

After the Congress, we will definitely share news, insights, and new opportunities for development!
