Fat calculation for taking genome modulators
An increasing number of cystic fibrosis patients worldwide are taking the chloride channel modulators Trikafta/Kaftrio (a combination of ivacaftor/tezacaftor/elexacaftor). These drugs normalize the function of chloride channels in all mucus-producing cells, thereby eliminating the symptoms of cystic fibrosis and making everyday treatment more effective.

Each dose should be taken with a fat-containing meal. Take approximately 10-15 g of fat with your gene modulator to ensure that it is absorbed properly.
We emphasize that it is better to coordinate the diet with your doctor to take into account all the health characteristics of the cystic fibrosis patient.
